OS-1 series optical switch can realize optical channel's optionthrough electric signal control. It adopts fiber collimator with small insertloss to make optical path's switching, coupling, to improve the reliability andstability of optical switch largely. It also can be set automatic status andmanual switching status by the front panel, and can be used in three switchingmodes: 1x1 (ON/OFF), 2x1(1x2) or 2x2.
This equipment mainly applies for optical signal switching inoptical transmission network which needs high-reliable operation, such as hotbackup automatic switching of 1550nm optical transmitter and fiber amplifier inthe front-end of CATV system, key protection of optical route switching inoptical path, self-healing ringnet. Also it can be used in OADM, OXC, systemmonitoring and fault protection.
